Internship Program – SINAR Objective 3 Program Officer
Project Background
Sustainable Energy for Indonesia's Advancing Resilience (SINAR) is a five-year technical assistance project supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID SINAR builds upon the longstanding commitment and partnership between the U.S. Government and the Government of Indonesia in climate change mitigation in the energy sector. The project seeks to advance Indonesia's development priorities in expanding reliable and equitable energy services necessary for sustainable development and inclusive economic growth.
Under objective 3, SINAR interventions include facilitating climate smart financing mechanism, incentive schemes, and business models, supporting the introduction of AES procurement and pricing to maximize the value of RE and building the capacity of financial institutions for sustainable finance. Some of the main beneficiaries of SINAR under this objective are Regional Government, Bappenas, Ministry of Finance, OJK, PLN, PT SMI, INA, Pertamina, etc.
Position Background
The program office will provide administrative and technical support in implementing activities under Objective 3 of SINAR project. Internship position will be evaluate for permanent position.
Position Responsibility
Support team in producing project report. The officer will gather information and data related to SINAR activities in producing report. Example of project report are: weekly report, quarterly & annual report, event report, activity report etc.
Support team in proof reading and editing of technical report.
Support team in conducting research related to renewable energy and or other subject related to energy sector. Research focus in desktop review in gathering publicly available research material than summarized the material.
Position Requirement
Bachelor degree in social sciences, communication, literature, linguistic or other related subjects.
Has a proven English Writing skill. Provide writing portfolio such as: articles, papers, publications and or other documentation.
Have understanding of energy sector in Indonesia.
Highly valued but not required: have exposures or experiences related to renewable energy, climate change, sustainability and sustainable finance.
