SurfAid is a non-profit organization which aims to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. SurfAid is currently working in a few locations in Indonesia: Mentawai Island District in West Sumatera, and Sumba Barat and Rote Ndao Districts in NTT. We work in the areas that are considered the most remote, with limited infrastructure and few community empowerment programs working there.
The NUSATANI program is in West Laboya District, West Sumba Regency, NTT Province and has entered its 5th or last year of implementation.
We are looking for an experienced and resourceful person with a positive "CAN DO" attitude to join the team as our:
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning System
(MEALS) OFFICER - NUSATANI SUMBA
As part of the NUSATANI Program team, the MEALS Officer is responsible for producing reliable data (both quantitative and qualitative) according to the SurfAid standard.
THE PERSON:
You are an open minded person and interested in remote areas and communities, since you will travel to and live in remote areas with limited facilities. You have an independent personality who enjoys working in a team, including with various external stakeholders. Having great analytical skills and able to work in flexible working hours.
THE QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES:
Minimum Bachelor's degree from any relevant majors: statistics, economy, math or public health
3 years experience M&E in Development non-profit
Adept in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting
Demonstrated excellence in using MS Excel, MS Access, or other tools to manage, analyze and visualize
Excellent knowledge of specialized data analysis/statistical software
Experienced working with multiple external stakeholders
Independent personality who loves to work in a team
Demonstrated skill in training / coaching others
"CAN DO"- attitude with critical thinking
Strong writing skills for reporting
