Panda Lestari is an independent national company. PT Panda Lestari is currently seeking the best candidate for the position of  Product Development Officer. This position will be based in Jakarta, and report directly to the Branding & Production Specialist 

About PT Panda Lestari:

PT Panda Lestari is a company built and owned by the Yayasan WWF Indonesia. Founded in 2011, PT Panda Lestari received the mandate to manage various commercial activities belonging to the Foundation, starting from Office space for rent, Panda House (eco-friendly Resto & Catering), and most recently E-Commerce, known as WWF Official Store ID. All proceeds obtained through these commercial activities will be returned to the Foundation and used to support conservation programs carried out by WWF in Indonesia.

Responsibilities:

The Product Development Officer reports directly to the Branding and Production Specialist of PT Panda Lestari and supports by planning, organizing, create & produce various products with the WWF (Panda Trademark) logo which are sold widely. Products must be in line, supporting WWF's conservation values as environmentally friendly products. Apart from that, the person must understand & understand WWF branding standards as a reference in planning products. In producing products, the person must be creative to be able to overcome existing limitations. The indicator of success is when the product is accepted by the market, is in demand and purchased by consumers on an ongoing basis. Products must meet the criteria, have good quality standards, and be consumer-oriented with a clear target market.

The responsibilities include: 
  • Understand first the vision/mission & values of WWF in implementing its conservation programs, especially in Indonesia
  • Understand WWF branding standards
  • Conduct research on fashion trends, design trends, market trends, market demand, brand positioning, pricing, sales history, related government regulations, etc. which provide data in product development
  • Create design concepts and ideas that combine a process of creativity, innovation, values, and other ideas
  • Develop products according to market trends and needs
  • Carry out the product manufacturing process according to the specified schedule (referring to the timeline).
  • Calculate the cost of production by taking into account all related components such as raw materials, packaging, branding, and other price components based on communication with the finance unit
  • Make price comparisons and product comparisons with competitors
  • Seek & get feedback from related partners to produce quality products
  • Coordinate & communicate with internal and external relations
  • Building positive partnership relationships with vendors/suppliers as widely as possible and making mutually beneficial cooperation negotiations
  • Having a vendor/supplier database that is always updated, especially in terms of production capabilities, professionalism, insight, and competitive prices (Pro-Kon Data)
  • Always increase insight into fashion for causes, which is the unique selling proposition of WWF Official Store ID
  • Identifying collaborations with profitable parties, such as: Designers, Retailers, Exhibition Organizers, etc. as an effort to improve product quality and marketing
  • Consistently carry out research to understand the market & target consumers
  • Create supporting visual materials to promote products (photos, videos, advertisements, etc.)

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Educations: S1, Product Design, Art design, or other relevant major
  • Work Experiences :
    • Industry: retail, Gallery  / Art Shop, Marketing 
    • Length of Service (Years): 2 Years 
    • Job Title: Designer, Product Designer, Merchandiser
    • Experienced working with A & B market segments
  • Knowledge:
    • Product design, branding
    • analytical thinking
    • Up-to-date with trends & best practices commonly used in online marketing
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
    • Networking
    • Able to speak English well, verbally and in writing
    • Have good communication & interpersonal skills
    • Proficient in operating design applications & using them as work 'tools'
    • Preferably those who have writing skills
  • Attitude: Time management, detail, teamwork, integrity, creativity, Result oriented
