Consultancy for Baseline Study – Climate Risk Reduction in Indonesia and Timor Leste Project (CRITICAL)

 

World Neighbors (WN) is an International non-governmental development agency (NGO), working in Indonesia to inspire people and strengthen communities to find lasting solutions to hunger, poverty and disease, and promote a healthy environment.

 

WN is seeking highly qualified, individual candidates for a short-term consultancy, to conduct a baseline assessment for the Climate Risk Reduction in Indonesia and Timor Leste Project (CRITICAL), a new four-year climate change adaptation (CCA) project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development/Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID/BHA).

 

Key Minimum Requirements

·         Master's degree in international development, social sciences, public administration, or a related field required, Ph.D. in a relevant field preferred.

·         Minimum of 10 years of experience in international development and/or humanitarian evaluation, preferably of sustainable agriculture and climate programs.

·         Experience leading similar evaluations.

·         Familiarity working with BHA and their project and performance management frameworks.

·         Excellent analysis and data handling skills with proficiency in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods analysis; strong management, communication, and administrative skills.

·         Demonstrated exceptional report writing skills that emphasize logical flow and objective analyses.

·         Demonstrated ability to achieve results and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.

·         Previous work experience in Indonesia and/or proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and/or Tetum.

·         Excellent knowledge of specialized data analysis/statistical software packages.

·         Experience with CommCare, KoboCollect, or another similar digital collection tool.
