More than 1 billion people suffer from one or more neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). A group of parasitic and bacterial diseases, NTDs cause severe disability among the worlds’ poorest people. Our NTD-fighting efforts focus on 13 countries in Africa, the Americas, and Asia, providing critical support for country-led journeys to self-reliance and the creation of sustainable NTD programs within robust and resilient health systems. As countries move closer to their NTD elimination goals, we are dedicated to strengthening national health systems to ensure that progress is sustainable. From technical assistance on policy and governance, and human resources, to support for domestic resource mobilization, we are working hand-in-hand with governments to integrate NTD priorities into routine planning, financing, service delivery, and monitoring.
RTI is currently accepting applications for several positions in USAID Act | East Indonesia (Act | East). Act | East plays a critical role in reducing the burden of NTDs so they are no longer a public health problem. USAID's Act to End NTDs | East program supports countries in the sustainable control & elimination of neglected tropical diseases, including Indonesia.
