USAID BEBAS-TB is a five-year (2023-2028) flagship project that seeks to work collaboratively with national and international stakeholders to strengthen Indonesia's primary healthcare system (PHC) and improve the quality of TB services to ultimately advance progress in TB control. The project will support the Government of Indonesia in achieving its goal to eliminate TB by 2030, focusing primarily on building a strong and sustainable response to the TB epidemic in four selected provinces with high TB burdens, notably North Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, and East Java.

USAID BEBAS-TB is led by MSH, in collaboration with local partners, Penabulu Foundation, Perhimpunan Organisasi Pasien TB Indonesia (POP TB), Rumah Cemara, Yayasan Dokter Peduli (DoctorSHARE), and Yayasan Kemitraan Strategis Tuberkulosis Indonesia (STPI), along with an international partner, Vital Strategies.

The USAID BEBAS‐TB project is made possible by the support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Overall Responsibilities:

The Grant Accountant is responsible for the financial management of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

This role entails working closely with the technical team and involves taking responsibility for managing the grant cycle, adhering to timelines, conducting pre-award due diligence, processing grant applications, overseeing the signing of grant agreements, managing grant payments, monitoring ongoing grants, and facilitating the closure of grants.

Ensuring compliance with USAID's grant making policies and procedures is a fundamental aspect of this role.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Commerce
  • Preferred: Master's degree will be an advantage

 

Experience:

  • Min 5 years relevant work experience preferably in international organizations, INGOs and/or bilateral organizations.
  • Min 3 years proven experience in handling grant management especially in managing USAID funds
  • Good English speaking and writing abilities including a knowledge of written correspondence etiquette for a business setting
  • Computer software skills, including advanced Excel and other accounting packages
  • Experience in capacity development assistance to non-finance staff or sub grantees
  • Preferred: QuickBooks

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understand USAID rules and regulations
  • Good training and coaching abilities
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Analytical thinking and having a problem-solving attitude.
  • Communication skills, appropriate to the audience
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
  • Strong team-building and motivational skills
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (10%).
  • Keyboard use, Pulling drawers, Lifting papers  <10 lbs
