The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations. Its corporate objective is to improve people's living conditions on a sustainable basis. GIZ has been working in Indonesia since 1975 on behalf of the German Government. Other parties that commission GIZ to carry out projects include the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the German Federal Foreign Office and the European Union. The multiyear project ASEAN-German Climate Action Programme (CAP) is implemented in close cooperation with the ASEAN Secretariat and the ASEAN Working Group on Climate Change (AWGCC). It focuses on strengthening ASEAN structures and processes to make climate policy more effective and contributes to anchoring climate policy issues more systematically in ASEAN policy documents, promoting individual, and institutional capacity and interlink regional and national climate policies and initiatives.
Currently, ASEAN CAP project is seeking a company/consulting firm to conduct ASEAN Training on Forest Carbon Accounting.
