About Us
Jaringan Indonesia Positif (JIP) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the health and rights of people living with HIV in Indonesia. Building on its previous, JIP will launch AKSELERASI – a community-led monitoring project funded by USAID Indonesia. This project will involve collecting site-level data in 13 districts to evaluate and enhance HIV service quality, support health facilities, and strengthen the advocacy skills of individuals affected by HIV to better manage the response towards HIV epidemic in Indonesia.
We are seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Media & Communication Officer. This role is essential in developing and executing effective communication strategies, managing media relations, and promoting our advocacy efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Desired
• Education: Bachelor Degree in relevant subjects (eg. Media & Communication, Public Health, Social Studies)
• Candidates with experience working for a USAID-funded project (or other international donors) and/or experience of working with GOI
Essential: Candidates must be able to demonstrate
- Track record of work in communication, media relations, or a related field
- Experience and proficiencies in the management of social media and digital communication platforms and tools (particularly Instagram, Facebook and YouTube)
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills
- Proficiency in social media management and digital communication tools
- Language proficiencies in written and spoken English and Indonesian

- Program Coordination and Strategy Development: Implement directives from program leadership while leading the creation of comprehensive internal and external communication strategies
- Annual Communication Planning: Develop, execute, and monitor the Annual Communication and Media Plan to align with organizational goals.
- Content Development and Management: Create and manage engaging digital content for advocacy campaigns across social media platforms and the organization's website
- Media Relations and Reporting: Cultivate relationships with journalists and media outlets, facilitate coverage, and provide regular reports on media engagement and impact
- Training and Capacity Building: Design and conduct training sessions to enhance communication and media skills among JIP's National Secretariat
- Event Promotion and Documentation: Organize and promote public awareness events while documenting organizational activities for visibility and outreach.
- Development of Communication Products: Design and produce various communication materials, including graphics, videos, and educational resources that support the organization's mission.
