The Center for Disaster Risk Management & Community Development Studies (CDRM&CDS) is a non-partisan, faith-based development organization that supports and facilitates humanitarian activities and development work in service to vulnerable people and communities in the provinces of North and West Sumatra. CDRM&CDS was founded in 2007 as a department of HKBP Nommensen University located in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Working with partner diaconal department Lutheran churches, we seek to transform lives by alleviating poverty, advancing justice, and realizing human rights.
Our Theory of Action (ToA) project, for the three-year period 2022-2024, contributes to greater improvement in the change process described in our Theory of Organizational Change and Strategic Plan. It works as our project design. We named our project: Resilient and Inclusive Community Development (RICD).
CDRM&CDS currently look for Mid-term Evaluation Consultant to measure the achievement through that years and also find the gap that can be make CDRM&CDS has better strategy working in the future of CRM&CDS project. The purpose of the evaluation is to measure the whole program, The field survey will be conducted in Nias and Mentawai Island.
Consultant Qualification:
· Bachelor's Degree in in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, or other related field.
· If Bachelor's Degree holder, minimum 10 years of working experience in evaluating project and in the field of livelihood include agriculture/WASH/gender and women empowerment. If Master's degree holder or better, minimum of five years working experience.
· Experience in using KoboCollect as evaluation Survey data collecting tools is desired
· The Consultants' independence from any organizations that have been involved in designing, executing, or advising any aspect of the intervention that is the subject of the evaluation.
· Knowledge of evaluation methodologies and tools.
· Proven experience of designing and implementing program/project evaluations.
· Cross-cultural understanding and communication skills.
· Demonstrated spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa
Skills:
· Writing and communication will be in English, and he/she must have excellent communication skills in English. He/she should also be able to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia while data collection in the project area;
· Demonstrated report writing skills in English
· Cross-cultural understanding and communication skills.
· Knowledge of evaluation methodologies and tools.
· Proven experience of designing and implementing program/project evaluations
· Knowledge of development contexts in Nias and Mentawai Islands
· Knowledge of livelihood, Climate Change Adaptation include DRR, Gender and Inclusion, Social protection include WASH.
Competencies:
· Demonstrates commitment to CDRM&CDS mission, vision and values;
· Highly knowledgeable of participatory monitoring and evaluation processes and experienced in evaluation of projects on WASH and women empowerment would be an added advantage;
· Ability to deliver quality report within given time frame;
