Background

Project HOPE is an international NGO of more than 500 engaged employees and hundreds of volunteers who work in more than 25 countries, responding to the world's most pressing global health challenges. Throughout our 60-year legacy, Project HOPE has treated millions of patients and provided more than $3 billion worth of medicines to local healthcare organizations around the world. We have helped build hundreds of health programs from the ground up and responded to humanitarian crises worldwide.

Project HOPE has been known in Indonesia since 1960 when the hospital ship USS HOPE visited Indonesia as part of its visit to several countries for humanitarian operations. Since 12 March 2018 Project HOPE has been registered as Yayasan Project HOPE in Indonesia. Yayasan Project HOPE (YPH) manages several programs in the areas of Infection Diseases, Tuberculosis Laboratory Strengthening, Maternal Neonatal Health, COVID-19 Emergency Response and Mental Health. It is also establishing an emergency response hub to strengthen emergency response operating systems in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Program Overview
 
Prevent TB is a five-year USAID funded project to Support for Public Education and Communication to Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment (TPT) Acceleration that is implemented by Yayasan Project HOPE (YPH). This program will use evidence-based health communication program implemented to improve the coverage and outcome of TPT among eligible sub-population in four target provinces with the highest number of estimated TB latent cases (DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and East Java).

Position Summary

The position is one of the key personnel for USAID PREVENT TB. S/he will be responsible for overseeing and guiding all aspects of the project's strategic direction, implementation, and stakeholder engagement. As the primary institutional liaison to USAID, the COP ensures project activities align with USAID's goals while upholding compliance with Government of Indonesia (GOI) regulations and policies. Leveraging extensive expertise in public health program management and a thorough understanding of Indonesia's health landscape, the COP will foster strong relationships with the Ministry of Health (MoH), including the TB Substance (TBS) and Health Promotion and Community Mobilization (Promkes) divisions, and other key stakeholders.

The COP will also work closely with project stakeholders, including three key sub-awardees—Lentera Kesehatan Nusantara, Jaringan Indonesia Positif, and Project HOPE—to coordinate the effective delivery of project activities across multiple provinces. Overseeing a skilled team of senior technical and operational staff, the COP will ensure the implementation of evidence-based health communication strategies, manage risks, and maintain compliance and accountability. Through adaptive learning and a commitment to sustainability, the COP will direct all phases of project execution, from planning and monitoring to project close-out, to achieve targeted TB Preventive Treatment (TPT) outcomes among at-risk populations.
