The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations. In Indonesia, GIZ is implementing various energy projects under the umbrella of the Energy Program Indonesia/ASEAN.
The Energy Hub programme function as a central nexus connecting energy cooperation endeavours between Indonesia and Germany and demonstrates the increased importance that both countries put towards cooperation in the energy field (e.g., through the Just Energy Transition Partnership/JETP), and the increased need to further consolidate and coordinate this cooperation. To provide flexible support to the implementation of the JETP, ad-hoc technical studies, knowledge sharing and stakeholder consultations, a series of work packages and activities with relevant private sector associations such as KADIN (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) Energy Transition Task Force, RUMAH PATEN (Indonesia joint office for Energy Transition), and APINDO (Indonesian Employers Association) are proposed.
Specifically, the IKI Flex JETP Support Package aims to support the Indonesian Government partners to integrate the JETP targets into upcoming legislation, regulation, and activities that related to energy transition in Indonesia. Through this work, it will further align with the ongoing revision for the 2nd Indonesia NDCs and related processes for the long-term strategies. The activities seek to inform these processes and align whenever possible. In addition, it will also support the Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM). ETM Country Platform is established by the government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Finance in November 2022. In which the ETM functions as a framework to provide necessary financing support to accelerate the energy transition, by mobilizing commercial and non-commercial funding sources in a sustainable manner.
The project objective is to be achieved through three work packages, which also support around WP1:
• WP1: Implementation of Indonesia's JETP and ETM within the context of the German-Indonesian Energy Cooperation Hub
In addition, the WP1 also aims to increase renewable energy finance in collaboration with other GIZ energy programme including Clean, Affordable, Secure Energy (CASE) for Southeast Asia, Sustainable Energy Transition in Indonesia (SETI), Performing Energy Transition through Fiscal Reform in Indonesia (PERFORM), and Strategic Exploration of Economic Mitigation Potentials through Renewables (ExploRE).
To support implementation of the programme in Indonesia, we seek one (1) motivated and qualified Indonesian candidate for:
