Project HOPE has been known in Indonesia since 1960 when the hospital ship USS HOPE visited Indonesia as part of its visit to several countries for humanitarian operations. Since 12 March 2018 Project HOPE has been registered as Yayasan Project HOPE in Indonesia. Yayasan Project HOPE (YPH) manages several programs in the areas of Infection Diseases, Tuberculosis Laboratory Strengthening, Maternal Neonatal Health, COVID-19 Emergency Response and Mental Health. It is also establishing an emergency response hub to strengthen emergency response operating systems in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

 

Program Overview

 

Yayasan Project HOPE supports selected Provincial and District Health Offices to strengthen maternal newborn health and Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Program and management in the public/private hospitals and puskesmas. The program aims to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with maternal and newborn infections and sepsis. The program interventions include:

1.       Prevent infections on the maternity and neonatal units through IPC

2.       Prevent infection and sepsis on the maternity and neonatal units through quality clinical care that focuses on infection prevention, early recognition, and early treatment to prevent sepsis.

 

Position Summary

 

The Program Manager will be responsible to provide technical management on strengthening the maternal and newborn clinical quality as related to maternal and newborn sepsis and IPC Program in Indonesia. S/he will lead in implementing new, high-quality programs on scaling best practices on prevention of maternal and neonatal sepsis and IPC on maternity and neonatal program in Indonesia. S/he will coordinate all aspects of scaling up a comprehensive package of program interventions in selected districts/provinces with health facilities. The role also requires the ability to multi-task and handle complex and competing priorities.
