BACKGROUND
The Cisadane Hulu watershed in western Java is a national priority area facing significant ecological challenges and is urgently designated for restoration. National Planning Agency data (2018) shows that 21.52% of the land is designated for forest conservation to protect water and soil. However, in recent years, there has been a rapid green land conversion for infrastructure development, including tourism and road construction.
Amplifying these environmental pressures is the lack of knowledge and technical skills among local farmers and small community businesses in managing water resources effectively. Additionally, limited understanding of sustainable agricultural practices further threatens both water quality and the long-term viability of the watershed. Addressing these issues presents a unique opportunity to support restoration efforts, empower local communities, and safeguard vital water resources for the future.
In PAHALA project, SNV in collaboration with Danone AQUA, Danone Ecosystem and local partner, Rekonvasi Bhumi, aims to contribute to integrated water resource management in the watershed area by implementing regenerative practices to maintain soil and water quality and help achieve sustainable water resources. The project takes places in Bogor Regency, West Java, Indonesia for 2 years since November 2022 – December 2024 for phase 1.
Towards the end of phase 1 PAHALA project in December 2024, there is a need to disseminate the project' progress and achievement to all related stakeholder through end year progress meeting. PAHALA project achievement including the success of establishment of business unit by Community Based Organisation (CBO) through SNV capacity building and assistance. Thus, beside the end year meeting, we will also conducted market expo to increase CBO access to market and to introduce their business product. Further, the end year meeting also aims to share lessons learned to respective partners and government to better profile SNV.
OBJECTIVE
Through this assignment, the event organizer will support SNV to organize a public event to showcase PAHALA Project, to promote community based product, and to update progress of PAHALA project to local government with audience of local government, private sector, farmer, development partner and general public, Also, support media coverage for the event.
SCOPE OF WORKS
The event organizer in coordination with SNV will support the whole arrangement of PAHALA market expo and learning dissemination, including:
- Support technical meeting/preparation with hotel
- Provide checklist of the events' need and PIC
- Provide blueprint of the event's area (VIP room, register area, participant's flow, expo booth, sound system area, etc.)
- Arrange participant flow from register to enter the main ballroom
- Liaise service for VIPs (city mayor, ministry director, etc.)
- Make highlight of the event and produce press release and media coverage
- Produce of stand out banner, horizontal banner, expo booth, and other visibility media
- Arrange expo booth settings (include produce booth, booth design, and arrangement based on discussion with SNV)
- Provide MC services
- Provide photographer and videographer to cover the event and provide necessary amount of team to support offline and online arrangement of the workshop
TIME FRAME
The event organizing will be held on Wednesday 26 February 2025 at hotel in Kabupaten Bogor area
REQUIREMENTS
- Have more than 5 years of experience in organizing offline workshop
- Having experience in organizing workshop related to agri-food topic is preferred
- Advance knowledge in agri-food, watershed management is preferred
- Extensive experience in producing press release, media coverage, and visibility media (banner, standing banner, etc.)
- Extensive experience in designing, producing, arranging booth
- Experienced in arranging a workshop with various participants from government, development partner, other service provider, and public
- Demonstrate the ability to complete the delivery of the products on time as schedule
- Good command in English and native Indonesian

- RESPONSIBILITIES
SNV
- Provide guidance
- Advise on the assessment set up and design, provide feedback as required
- Pay the fee and costs for video production process
- Assist with arranging contact with relevant stakeholders (interview, meetings, etc.) as required
Service Provider
- Align SNV input to the event arrangements
- Lead to arrange the offline settings for the market expo
- Involve SNV and relevant stakeholders in the process
