District Consultant
Adolescent and Women's Health and Nutrition Portfolio in West Java Province
Nutrition International (NI) has been supporting the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Health (MoH), Province Health Office (PHO) and District Health Offices (DHOs), in implementing and strengthening Weekly Iron and Folic Acid Supplementation program.
NI supports the implementation and strengthening of the WIFAS program at the province and district level through placement of Provincial and District extenders in respective provinces. The extenders work with Offices of Health, Education, Religious Affairs, and Local Secretariat at Province and District levels, facilitate, and catalyze improvement of program implementation and increase in WIFAS coverage and adherence from school to province levels. It is expected NI extenders will continue facilitating the collaboration between relevant sectors and provide support for supervision at multiple levels (province, district, Puskesmas and schools). The capacity of the system at the province and district levels particularly, will be strengthened to revitalize WIFA supplementation among school-going adolescent girls.
Further, under Adolescent and Women's Health and Nutrition (AWHN) Portfolio of Institutional Support Grant (ISG 2), NI will continue to provide technical support on Adolescent Health and Nutrition to West Java province from April 2025 until March 2026.
NI will hire a consultant who will be placed at the provincial and district level to improve coordination, commitment, and aid in facilitating the AWHN program implementation at province and districts by the multiple departments including health, education, and religious affairs. This consultant is expected to facilitate the above identified activities at province and district levels, as well as other nutrition programs supported by NI. The consultant will be placed in West Java Province and will work closely and supervision from Program Officer of NI.

Qualification Requirements for a District Consultant:
- A bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: public health, nutrition, medicine, and/or health systems management.
- Experience working minimum 3 years (preferably experience in nutrition program and/or public health) with the government, NGOs, or donors.
- Experience working on adolescent health and nutrition programs would be an advantage.
- Willing to travel with high frequency.
- Ability to speak and/or understand English would be an advantage.
- Ability to operate computers and work on MS office (word, excel, PowerPoint) and use the internet.
