About the Project
Indonesia is among the countries most prone to natural disasters, including earthquakes, floods, and tropical storms. To address these challenges, the DROFLERD project focuses on strengthening the capacity of faith leaders and places of worship in disaster risk reduction (DRR) and emergency preparedness.
Implemented in Central Sulawesi (Palu and Sigi) and Jakarta, this initiative equips religious institutions and leaders with skills and tools to become trusted community hubs for disaster preparedness, coordination, and response. As the project enters its final implementation phase (ending November 2025), we are expanding our reach to new places of worship. To support this effort, we are hiring two Community Mobilizers—one in Jakarta and one in Palu.
Position Summary
The Community Mobilizer will play a critical role in supporting day-to-day implementation at the field level, particularly in newly targeted religious institutions. Responsibilities include coordination with faith leaders, monitoring community engagement, ensuring field administration, and documenting project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily communication with religious leaders, preparedness teams, and communities.
- Support administration tasks and documentation, including attendance, photos, reports, and success stories.
- Monitor engagement progress and report gaps or challenges to the DRR Officer.
- Coordinate logistics for local events (venue, materials, refreshments).
- Support the implementation of action plans developed by ToT participants.
Qualifications
- Minimum D3/S1 in Social Sciences, Community Development, Disaster Risk Management, or a relevant field.
- At least 1 year of experience in community mobilization, preferably in humanitarian or development sectors.
- Familiarity with interfaith and faith-based settings is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possession of a motorcycle driving license (SIM C) is an advantage.
Work Arrangement
Contract Type: Casual Labour
Working Days: 21 days/month
Contract Duration: 5 months (July–November 2025)
Fee: Rp 6.000.000/month/person (all-inclusive)
Reporting Line
The Community Mobilizer will report to the DRR Officer – DROFLERD, with final outputs submitted through the Area Coordinator.
