Human Resources (HR) Officer

 Reports to:                  People and Culture Manager

Assignment:                  Fixed-term national employment agreement

Duration:                       12 months, with the possibility of a contract extension

Commencement:          ASAP

Location:                     Jakarta, with possibility of travelling to provinces

WEI project areas are in Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Java, and other parts of Indonesia, with the head office located in Jakarta.

 

Objective:

Manage an organization's human resources to support and achieve business goals while ensuring the well-being and development of employees. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The HR Officer role acts as a generalist, focusing on the daily operational aspects of HR and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations under the HR People and Culture Manager's supervision. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Posting job vacancies, screening resumes and applications, and scheduling interviews. 
  • Assist the People and Culture Manager in coordinating new employee orientations and completing new hire paperwork. 
  • Maintain accurate and updated employee records, including personal information and contract details in the ERP system
  • Assist the People and Culture Manager in managing and file employee documents and company documents especially related with employee, both soft and hard file
  • Assist in payroll preparation and administering employee benefits programs, including enrolment and handling related queries. 
  • Ensure the company adheres to labour laws and internal policies and procedures
  • Assisting to register the company regulations and staff contracts to Manpower Ministry through the system and dealing with the PIC directly
  • Assisting in organizing performance management processes, including scheduling and reminding
  • Address employee questions regarding benefits, leave, and other HR-related matters in coordination and with the knowledge of People and Culture Development Manager
  • Assisting in the coordination and delivery of HR-related training programs. 
  • Other task requested by People and Culture Development Manager

 

 

Selection Criteria (Qualification):

Essential:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is a common requirement. A Master's degree may be preferred. 
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HR, including generalist and administrative roles like recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. Experience in an NGO or international organization is highly valued. 
  • Solid understanding of Indonesian labor law and administrative regulations, including the Omnibus Law (Law No. 11 of 2020). 
  • Proficiency in using HR information systems (HRIS), databases, and standard office software like Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Experience in key HR functions such as talent management, succession planning, learning and development, and employee engagement. 
  • Good Communication skill in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and verbal, including ability to prepare letter, announcement and simple reports.
  • The ability to build strong relationships, work effectively in a multicultural environment, and show tact and sensitivity. 
  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify and solve complex problems and manage multiple tasks. 
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, integrity, and commitment to achieving organizational goals. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance. 
  • Willingness to work in a sensitive, potentially diverse, and dynamic environment. 

 

Desirable:

1.     Experience working in NGO or the development sector

2.     Familiar with Job Announcement Platform used by NGO and Development Organizations

3.     Good Network in NGO and Development Sectors Organization
