BACKGROUND
With support from MSD, Yayasan Project HOPE (YPH) is assisting the Ministry of Health in strengthening maternal and neonatal services in selected districts of Indonesia. This is being done through the Safe Hands program, implemented in collaboration with the Maternity Foundation and with technical assistance from Project HOPE.
The program is a key maternal and neonatal health initiative designed to improve the capacity of healthcare workers. It combines several activities, most notably through the adaptation of the Safe Delivery Application (SDA) into a national version. This app provides customized online and offline clinical training modules aligned with national childbirth care guidelines. It is equipped with instructional videos, action cards, and step-by-step guides that can be accessed without internet connectivity.
