ChildFund International in Indonesia is inviting qualified external consultants to support the implementation of a Youth Impact Bond (YIB) Green Agripreneurship Research. The assignment aims to design a legally, financially, and operationally viable YIB model that supports the transition of young NEET women and out-of-school youth into decent work and green entrepreneurship, while strengthening local food systems and climate resilience through a blended finance approach.
Research Location: Semarang District, Central Java
Research Duration: Five (5) months
Scope of Work
During the research and survey period, the consultant is expected to perform the following activities:
- Desk-based review of relevant policies, program documents, and secondary data related to youth employment, food security, climate risks, and blended finance ecosystems
- Briefing session with the Program Specialist and Partnership Portfolio Team
- Field surveys using structured questionnaires with communities, lead firms, exporters, and wholesalers
- Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with youth, families, and community representatives, including agricultural SMKs and local partners
- Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), particularly in-depth interviews with selected stakeholders such as government officials, village administrators, financial institutions, and ecosystem actors
- Field visits to program-supported villages and agricultural SMK teaching factories and demonstration plots
- Debriefing session with the Program Specialist and Partnership Portfolio Team to present preliminary findings and implementation implications
