About the Position

 

As a Product Development Manager at YCAB, you will be at the forefront of designing and scaling programs that create meaningful, measurable change in communities. In this role, you will lead the development of innovative program initiatives — from concept to scale — oversee end-to-end grant operations including the full grant cycle from RfP to reporting, and empower grantee organizations to deliver greater impact. You will collaborate across teams, engage with donors and strategic partners, and translate big-picture strategy into on-the-ground results. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic yet hands-on leader who thrives at the intersection of program design, grant management, data-driven thinking, and people development — where your expertise will directly shape YCAB's social impact portfolio.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Product & Program Development

1. Develop new program concepts (pilot to scale-up) in coordination with the Head of Program Management
2. Design intervention models and value propositions; together with the MEL team, develop program frameworks, logical frameworks, and success metrics.
3. Conduct testing, iteration, and data/feedback-driven improvement of developed programs.

Grant Strategy & Management

1. Translate grant strategy direction into operational plans
2. Manage beneficiary targeting and thematic alignment
3. Develop grantmaking tools, guidelines, and frameworks 

End-to-End Grant Operations

1. Manage the full grant cycle (RfP, selection, contracts, disbursement, monitoring, reporting)
2. Coordinate the grant committee and decision-making process.
3. Ensure timeline adherence and implementation quality.
   
   

Grantee Engagement & Capacity Development

1. Build strategic relationships with grantee organizations.
2. Provide mentorship and advisory on program management.
3. Identify and develop capacity-building needs for grantees.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

1. Coordinate with the MEL team to develop simple monitoring systems for tracking developed programs.
2. Collect and analyze outcome data and compile program reports for internal and donor audiences.

Team Supervision & Development

1. Supervise and develop Analyst-level team members including direction, coaching, and performance management.
2. Build a collaborative and data-driven work culture.

 

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in the development / social impact sector.
2. Proven experience in program design, innovation, or grantmaking.
3. Familiarity with grant management & governance (RfP, due diligence, disbursement, compliance)
4. Proficiency in Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) and data-driven decision-making
5. Strong stakeholder and partnership management skills.
6. Basic financial literacy in grant budgeting and cost-effectiveness.
7. Experience supervising and developing team members.
8. Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and drive execution.
9. Skilled at cross-functional coordination and influencing without authority.
10. Excellent communication skills — clear, persuasive, and collaborative.
11. High ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
12. Adaptive, solution-oriented, and resilient under changing conditions
