Dear Potential Bidders,
Regarding the reporting of nutrition status including the Weekly Iron and Folic Acid Supplementation (WIFAS) coverage among in school adolescent girls, the Ministry of Health (MoH) is currently implementing SIGIZI KESGA, a computerized recording and reporting system for the national nutrition program. The system is designed to capture, monitor, and report nutrition data for children under five, school-age children, and adolescents (including WIFA supplementation for adolescent girls), as well as maternal and child health service data. Poor data quality remains a significant challenge in the implementation of Adolescent’s & Women Health & Nutrition (AWHN) programming in Indonesia. Current data reporting issues include inconsistencies in denominators, missing and duplicate reports, frequent changes in reporting periods, and delays in reporting. These data quality challenges undermine the accuracy of planning, forecasting, coverage estimation, and resource allocation, ultimately affecting informed decision-making and program performance.
To strengthen the quality of recording and reporting data and systems (completeness and timeliness the data), Nutrition International (NI) will support the MoH to conduct a Data Quality Assessment (DQA) of the SIGIZI KESGA with a focus on the AHN’s program data including WIFAS coverage, screening for anemia and referrals through Free Health Check (Cek Kesehatan Gratis/ CKG) and quality of nutrition health and education sessions. Specifically, the assessment will help identify possible gaps, errors or other data quality issues, if any, in reporting at each level viz., school, Posyandu ILP, Puskesmas, DHO and PHO and National level during the data entry and roll-up process and inform process improvements and system strengthening. In addition, it will include a validation of the target population denominators of eligible Adolescents aged 12-19 years old in selected areas. The DQA will identify gaps in data quality and reporting and generate evidence-based recommendations to help MOH to advocate to the PHO, DHOs and Puskesmas to improve the recording and reporting system for the AHN program.
In this context, NI seeks a suitable agency for this activity.
