Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial is an Indonesian organization affiliated with Hivos, born out of an active collaboration between Netherlands based Hivos and several like-minded Indonesian academics and civil society leaders who subscribe to the values and mission of Hivos. The purpose is to promote humanist values in the social, health, and cultural fields which is defined in terms of the ability for each individual to assess and decide independently and responsibly, the right to freedom, dignity and a passion to create a just and tolerant society. The agenda for such a collaboration was set in the context of Hivos's desire to phase out its direct presence in Southeast Asia by promoting sincere decentralization and local ownership. As the name itself suggests, the purpose underpinning establishment of the new entity is to promote humanistic values in the social, health, and cultural fields which is defined in terms of the ability for each individual to assess and decide independently and responsibly, the right to freedom, dignity and a passion to create a just and tolerant society.
Yayasan Humanis seeks qualified candidates for the position of:

1. Background
Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial firmly believes in humanistic values. We also believe in every person's right to live in freedom and dignity, to enjoy equal opportunities, and to influence decisions made regarding the changes they want to see in their lives, communities and country. We envision a world in which individual differences and backgrounds are respected and used to strengthen communities. A world in which people join forces to challenge the power imbalances that allow economic and social injustice, environmental degradation and propel climate change; that condone exploitation, oppression and exclusion; and that perpetuate gender inequalities.
Our mission is to promote humanistic values, amplify and connect voices that promote social and environmental justice and challenge power imbalances. We particularly empower marginalized rightsholders to raise their voice and demand freedom of choice. We support the development of alternative solutions to deep-seated problems in the economic and social sphere so that individuals and communities can make responsible and equitable choices within political and economic systems that serve their needs and preserve the planet. We connect people and organizations offering alternatives to those looking for solutions in their fight for social, economic and environmental justice.
During the pandemic, Yayasan HSI and its partners impose health protocols to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19, including the work-from-home (WFH) scheme or remote working. As more people utilize the Internet for work and expanding their knowledge, Yayasan HSI realized that there are not enough resources on monitoring and evaluation and gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) in Bahasa Indonesia available for the public. While capacity strengthening on these topics throughout project implementation are important and irreplaceable, it is as important to make such resources available. Therefore, in order to support self-learning among partners and the public, Yayasan HSI intends to produce videos on the topics.
Yayasan HSI is looking for a team of consultants to collaborate with in the production of these videos. Videos will be used as reference for Yayasan HSI and partners during induction, implementation, and learning events. Videos will also be made available on the Yayasan's social media platforms as public resources.
2. Scope of Work
The (team of) consultant(s) will produce a series of short videos (animated videos) on the following concepts:
- Hivos Theory of Change (ToC) Guideline: Theory of Change Thinking in Practice
- Outcome Harvesting as Monitoring & Evaluation Methodology which consists of: 1) 6 steps of Outcome Harvesting; 2) How to formulate SMART outcome statement, and; 3) How to use Outcome Harvesting in monitoring a project/program;
- Introduction to Monitoring and Evaluation;
- Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) principles;
- Safeguarding principles.
Videos will be dubbed in Bahasa Indonesia with both English and Indonesian subtitles. Scripts will be developed together between the (team of) consultant(s) and the team of Yayasan HSI.
3. Deliverables
● A series of short videos based on the above-mentioned topics (the length of each video is max. 5 minutes) dubbed in Bahasa Indonesia with Bahasa Indonesia and English subtitles (subtitles should be able to be switched on and off).

4. Timeline
● Videos 1-3
○ 23 September to 7 October 2022: Concept development and video production of 3 (three) videos. Duration: 3 (three) weeks.
○ 8 October to 6 November 2022: Video review and editing, includes Yayasan HSI's review and approval. Review includes up to two times of revision. Duration: 4 (four) weeks.
○ 7 November 2022: 3 (three) videos are due.
● Videos 4-5
○ 10 October to 30 October 2022: Concept development and video production of 2 (two) videos. Duration: 3 (three) weeks.
○ 31 October to 27 November 2022: Video review and editing, includes Yayasan HSI's review and approval. Review includes up to two times of revision. Duration: 4 (four) weeks.
○ 28 November 2022: 2 (two) videos are due.
● Videos 6-7
○ 7 November to 25 November 2022: Concept development and video production of 2 (two) videos. Duration: 3 (three) weeks.
○ 28 November to 23 December 2022: Video review and editing, includes Yayasan HSI's review and approval. Review includes up to two times of revision. Duration: 4 (four) weeks.
○ 26 December 2022: 2 (two) videos are due.
5. Knowledge, experiences and competencies
We are seeking an individual or a team with the following qualities:
● Has at least 3 years' experience as videographer, graphic editor, animator, and other relevant fields
● Has proficiency in software associated with video editing
● Able to design and create motion graphic or any other type of video that easily understands by general audience
● Creative and able to propose unique idea and design concept
● Familiarity with the concepts of (but not limited to) monitoring and evaluation, Theory of Change, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), and gender protection will be an advantage
● Able to work in consultancy with Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial
6. How to Apply

- A brief work plan including timeline of the project
- Budget Proposal (maximum budget available for this consultancy: IDR 160,100,000)
- Initial concept that explains and explores the concept of gender equality in a 5-minute video. Concept could be presented in a Powerpoint file, Keynote, PDF, a storyboard, or a script.
Indonesian nationals only. Women, Transgender, LGBTQI+ and marginalized or minority groups are encouraged to apply. Applications without any proposal will be excluded from the selection process.
