Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty
Country Purpose:
Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003, and officially became the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sector for the programme include:
• Water and Sanitation
• Sustainable livelihood
• Education
• Child Welfare
• Shelter
• Disaster Risk Reduction
• Climate Change
The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Jakarta Province and will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.
Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking Livelihood and Child Protection Officer based in Lombok - Indonesia.
Reporting Line:
Post holder would directly report to Area Coordinator.
Overall Responsibility:
The livelihood and Child Protection officer with his/ her competencies and experience will work closely with the community and wider stakeholders of project: Community + Religious leaders, local government, most vulnerable family and children, livelihood and child protection officer, community mobilizer, Micro Finance Syariah consultant, Livelihood material supplier, livelihood business trainer, local Bank, Village platform body, village level government. In close coordination with the project coordinator, He / She will be responsible to manage the project in daily basis based on IR Indonesia MEAL framework and requirement, financial rule and regulation, as well as sets of IR Indonesia standard policy and regulation related to inclusion and protection, safeguarding and CFRM.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Identify, initiate contact and develop meaningful involvement, participation, and collaboration among the project stakeholders toward ALO 2 project goal and objective attainment.
· Develop project beneficiaries' criteria in close collaboration and coordination with the Project Coordinator
· In close coordination with the ALO2 PC, develop project activity plan as reference for the implementation with accurate technical programmatic based on the project DIP, proposal, and budgeting planning.
· Lead the community mobilizer in identify 100 most vulnerable families living with poverty condition who provide care for orphan and neglected children.
· Strategize and plan the series of livelihood capacity building for the 100 right holders
· Strategize and plan for the establishment of SHG and VPB within the scheme of Micro Finance Syariah methodology
· Design and implement biweekly FGD SHG activity on awareness raising and understanding on Child Right, Child Protection, and Children Education
· Lead the community mobilizer Identify most vulnerable children in the 2 targeted are to gain support of social insurance registration, health care support, and education support.
Skills & Competencies:
· Good knowledge, analytical skill, and programing in the development sector with theme of family and children welfare and protection, education, health, and education.
· Excellent community empowerment skills through various communication and learning facilitation methodology: PRA, FGD, Interview.
· Able to lead small project team to work on the process to achieve the set of project target and output as well as anticipating and managing conflict dynamic within the teamwork.
· Good communication skill through various standard work application, email, and various working and social media platform.
· Able to identify and capture main target project data, manage their recording and summarize the data in a meaningful concise report and presentation in Indonesian and basic English language.
· Able to perform daily travel with office motorbike to targeted community village location in West Lombok and North Lombok District.
Requirements:
· Bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field like; Social science advanced degree with 3-5 years' of experience in working with local/ I NGO in the community development project with thematic area of livelihood, health, education, child protection, and gender.
· Experience in initiating and developing meaningful participation and collaboration with wider project government, non-government, and community level stakeholders.
· Able to perform daily travel with office motorbike to targeted community village location in West Lombok and North Lombok District.
· Understanding local Lombok community context, culture, and customs while wisely adjust the project approach and technical implementation based on the existing context.
