About the organization:
Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty
Activity Purposes:
Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is now implementing a livelihood project post-earthquake, tsunami, liquefaction, and covid-19 pandemic in Central Sulawesi covering Palu City and Sigi District. The project is called Sustainable Livelihood Recovery through Social Enterprise (SULRISE). The overall objective of this project is to strengthen the livelihood viability of the communities to 'recover and build back better following the accumulated shocks due to earthquake triggering a tsunami, liquefaction, and COVID 19 pandemic; where targeted households within the area lost their livelihood, resources, and even houses during the disaster and currently they are facing challenges to adapt with the new settings and changes in their new dwelling areas.
The project identified different settings of the targeted communities into two broad conditions:
1. They were previously farmers but lost their farming land due to liquefaction and currently are living from new livelihood activities that are still not stable and viable and exacerbated by the Covid19 impact. They will need support in finding a more prospective livelihood. Included in this group are also who lost their fishing activities as they are now living far away from the sea and have to deal with new livelihood settings.
2. They who lost their previous livelihood asset during the disaster but currently already have livelihood activities in their new settings (dwelling location, customers, neighbors, etc), and they still need further support due to the lack of input, equipment, tools, skill, networking, etc.
· Poverty /disaster-prone areas
· Poor/ultra-poor households (income below 1.25 dollars per day)
· Priority would be given on female headed poor/ultra-poor households, person with disability, minority/socially excluded groups, etc.
· Age between 18-55 years; in few cases elderly/over aged poor households would be considered who have capable dependent
· Families having not more than 50 decimal land/farmers/share croppers
· Permanent resident of the targeted areas
The project will provide different groups with different interventions so that they can fully recover and adapt to the new conditions and different environments of their lives.
To enable to project team to map the potential and marketable livelihoods, YRII is seeking a consultant (in group or individual to support YRII in realizing the objectives of the project and provide a basis to design livelihood support for targeted rights holders. The scope of work is below:
1. Baseline Survey Report
2. Livelihood Feasibility Study
3. Market Assessment report
B. Location and Target
Series activities related to consultancy services will be conducted in 3 locations as they are: (1) , Huntap Balaroa, (2), Huntap Duyu, and (3) Huntap Pombewe with total rights holders/beneficiaries 1,500 HHs
3. Have experience working in Palu and Sigi with deep knowledge about the local context
