Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty
Country Purpose:
Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003, and officially became the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sector for the programme include:

The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Jakarta Province and will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.
Project Overview
YRII is implementing BUDLOC, 2-year project and funded by Islamic Relief USA, in 3 districts in NTB Province, including Dompu and Bima District, and Bima City. to increased welfare, safety, and justice of poor men and women living from forest through low carbon development and peace building practices, through the following outcomes and activities:
· Outcome 1: Increased income from agroforestry and environmentally friendly food estate policy and practice of 20 communities (at least 30% women) in Bima City, Bima District, and Dompu district- Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara Province by 2025
· Outcome 2: Reduced conflict at forest-agricultural interface at 20 communities in Bima City, Bima District, and Dompu District - Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara province by 2025.
Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking Peace Building Specialist Based in Bima – NTB, Indonesia.
Reporting Line:
Post holder would directly report to Project Coordinator under the overall guidance and supervision of NTB Area Coordinator
Overall Responsibility:
Under the guidance and direct supervision of NTB Area Coordinator, the Peace Building Specialist will provide support and technical assistance to the local partners for the implementation of BUDLOC Project, particularly on outcome 2: Reduced conflict at forest-agricultural interface at 20 communities in Bima City, Bima District, and Dompu District - Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara province by 2025. S/he will support planning, implementation of peace building related intervention to the local partners adhered to the project focus. S/he will liaise with project stakeholder (project team, local government, local partners, volunteers, right holders and etc), In addition s/he will work closely with local partners, and meal officer to ensure project deliverables achieved on scope, time and budget. S/He must perform her/his assigned areas with respect to technical assessments, awareness raising, rights holders profiling, designing and delivering trainings. The respected position will capacitate the partner staff and volunteers in undertaking their duties and assignment accordingly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide advice on peace building interventions in the target project districts: context analysis, action plan formulation, organizational development, economic empowerment support, multi-stakeholder dialogue, multistakeholder forum, and peace accord signing, and multi-stakeholder partnership,
· Track the progress of project implementation on daily, weekly and monthly bases and report to Area or Project Coordinator for further review and evaluation
· Bridge the communication with Islamic relief partners in the project area
· Document project learning, meetings, changes and activity reports undertaken by project team
Skills and Requirements:
· A graduate degree or Masters' Degree or in-depth experience in relevant field required (e.g. International Relations, International Development, Peace and Conflict Studies or equivalent experience in development/humanitarian areas)
· An in-depth understanding of international development issues
· Qualified in PMD-Pro and or any other Project Management professional qualifications
· Demonstrate extensive experience of managing and implementing project through partnership mechanism
· Understanding of conflict prevention and peacebuilding demonstrated through management of projects
· Well versed and with proven capabilities of understanding the key aspects of conflict prevention and peacebuilding within the context of international development and humanitarian interventions.
· Demonstrated experience of working with various stakeholders
