PROGRAM OFFICER HUMANITARIAN AND RESILIENCE: 1 position based in Jakarta

CWS Indonesia is the field office of CWS, Inc., whose headquarter is in New York, USA. CWS assists the most vulnerable, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. CWS works with partners to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice around the world.
CWS Indonesia is currently focusing on 3 main program areas:
· Refugee protection
· Humanitarian response and disaster risk reduction / disaster risk management
· Food security and nutrition
THE ROLE:
The Program Officer Humanitarian and Resilience will provide support to all programmatic aspect of Humanitarian (Emergency Preparedness and Response) and Resilience (Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation) across CWS programs. S/He ensures that humanitarian and resilience programs are effective, meeting its goals and objectives, it's donor's requirements and the need of affected populations. S/He will support to ensure CWS program and partners is adequately prepared to respond to emergencies and support in the humanitarian coordination.
The Postholder will be the main focal point of CWS emergency preparedness and response program in Indonesia and enable internal and external coordination to ensure CWS and its partners have the sufficient capacity to respond to emergencies throughout the country by regularly updating CWS Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) and support building CWS Emergency Response Team and complying any relevant humanitarian policies and procedures.
