Profile of TANGKAL TB Program
Prevent TB is a five-year USAID funded project to Support for Public Education and Communication to Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment (TPT) Acceleration that is implemented by Yayasan Project HOPE (YPH). This program will use evidence-based health communication programs implemented to improve the coverage and outcome of TPT among eligible sub-population in six target provinces with the highest number of estimated TB latent cases (North Sumatera, Jakarta, Banten, West Java, East Java, and South Sulawesi).

Purpose of Position
The Advocacy and Partnership Coordinator (APC) will work closely with SBCC Coordinator to support the Senior Management Team with progress update of program implementation with community, CSOs and other organizations related to PLHIV at the national, provincial and district level. This post will ensure coordinated project implementation with Provincial Coordinator and provision of continued support, information and consultations.

Reporting Requirement
The position is reporting to Sr. Health Communication Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. To actively participate in project studies (Barrier Analysis, Situational Analysis and other studies), to provide facilitation, information, and other needed support.
  2. To communicate and disseminate the Strategic Communication Plan to related stakeholders at the National and Sub-National audience, as required.
  3. Facilitate the advocacies to provincial and district level CSOs, CBOs, PLHIV network, Ex-TB patient organization and GFATM community recipients for the adoption of TPT messages, suggested channels and message delivery mechanisms.
  4. To actively participate in project training for sub-partners' staff, particularly among PLHIV community, for disseminating the TPT communication approaches to different segment populations, ensuring that they can train local communicators, influencers, social media creators, community cadres and peer supporters.
  5. Assist the Sr. Health Communication Specialist to obtain data and information as per monitoring project guideline.
  6. Assist the COP, Specialist, Advisers, and manager to advocate the adoption of strategic communication plan and communication approaches by non-intervention districts/provinces.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Social Sciences, Anthropology, Health Communications, Behavioral Sciences, Health Promotion, or Community Development. A master's degree will be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience on advocacy and other high level communication processes, or on strategic communication document development.
  • Minimum 5 (five) year working experience working with government, non-government organization, civil society or community networks, and other existing organizations at the national and sub-national level. 
  • Familiar with study process works, social science research, knowledge management and evidence-based advocacies. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia. 
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop capacity of the staff. 
  • Ability to interact with, project key stakeholders, partners, and other stakeholders in support of the Senior Management Team. 
  • Computer proficiency should include Word, Excel, and other general experience with presentation, and infectious disease information
