Profile of USAID Prevent TB Project
PREVENT TB is a five-year USAID funded project to Support for Public Education and Communication to Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment (TPT) Acceleration that is implemented by Yayasan Project HOPE (YPH). This program will use evidence-based health communication program implemented to improve the coverage and outcome of TPT among eligible sub-population in six target provinces with the highest number of estimated TB latent cases (North Sumatera, DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, East Java, and South Sulawesi).

Purpose of Position
The position is responsible for the program implementation at their respective provinces as per work plan. The PC will ensure programmatic and administrative process work in accordance with the guidelines, provide routine reports in a timely manner, consult the implementation issues with the COP and other national advisor/specialist/managers as necessary. S/he will ensure programmatic and administrative works done in line with the guidelines by district officers. S/he leads the provincial and district team to achieve targets as per work plans, support the team to build communication with key stakeholders, and provide consultation to the respective district teams. S/he is responsible to make available reports regularly covering the select districts with verified data on program, and finance and administration.

Location: DKI Jakarta Province

Reporting Requirement
The position is reporting to the Chief of Party

Key Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. To actively participate in project studies (Barrier Analysis, Situational Analysis and other studies), to provide facilitation, information, and other needed support.
  2. To communicate and disseminate the Strategic Communication Plan to related stakeholders at the National and Sub-National audience, as required.
  3. Facilitate the advocacies to provincial and district level CSOs, CBOs, PLHIV network, Ex-TB patient organization and GFATM community recipients for the adoption of TPT messages, suggested channels and message delivery mechanisms.
  4. To actively participate in project training for sub-partners' staff, for disseminating the TPT communication approaches to different segment populations, ensuring that they can train local communicators, influencers, social media creators, community cadres and peer supporters.
  5. Assist the Sr. Health Communication Specialist to obtain data and information as per monitoring project guideline.
  6. Assist the COP and Senior Management Team to advocate the adoption of strategic communication plan and communication approaches by non-intervention districts/provinces.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Social Sciences, Communications, Behavioral Sciences, Health Promotion, or Community Development. 
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience on SBCC, advocacy and social mobilization, stigma reduction program, or on strategic communication document development. 
  • Minimum 3 (three) year working experience working with local government sectors, non-government organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience with data management, recording and reporting project process. 
  • Demonstrated experience with works in communication (BCC, outreach activities, and/or advocacy) with different audiences. 
  • Demonstrated experiences to prepare activity reports completed with administrative requirements (workplan, budget, request forms, reporting forms, and supporting documents).
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to work in close coordination with project key stakeholders, partners, and other stakeholders in support of COP and Senior Management Team.
  • Computer proficiency should include Word, Excel, and other general experience with presentation application and infectious disease information system
