Job Summary:

CRS is seeking Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Specialist candidates for an anticipated 5-year USAID funded program aimed to improve urban climate and disaster resilience in Indonesia.  This will be accomplished by supporting the Government of Indonesia (GOI); working directly with communities and the private sector; and helping key stakeholders.  The program will pursue two main objectives 1) improved subnational environmental governance; and 2) private sector environmental and social sustainability in supply chains related to agriculture, forestry, and extractive industries.

The CCA Specialist will provide high quality high quality strategic technical advice and guidance supporting timely and effective implementation of project activities, deliverables and execution, monitoring and reporting of the project interventions.

 

CRS/Indonesia is seeking Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Specialist candidates, Job Code: CCA-S. The position will be based in Jakarta and report to Chief of Party.

Note: This position is contingent upon donor approval and funding.

 

Qualifications

·         Master's degree or other advanced degree in Natural Resource Management, environmental studies, biodiversity conservation, protected area management, or other relevant discipline.  

·         Minimum of seven years of work experience working on climate change in Southeast Asia, with experience in Indonesia in climate change climate change, disaster risk resilience, environment and natural resource management sectors strongly preferred.

·         Experience in capacity building of national climate stakeholders, including the development and production of curricula, tools, and other products to support climate change adaptation and programming. Demonstrated experience to transfer knowledge to diverse audiences through training, mentoring, and other formal and informal methods.

·         Experience with program monitoring and evaluation including development of indicators, data collection tools and methodologies, data analysis, and data presentation.

 

Required Languages Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with fluency in Bahasa Indonesia preferred. 

Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 40 %.
