Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator
(Code: M&E-C)
The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator is responsible for collecting and analyzing M&E data, preparing reports including monitoring updates, project trackers and indicator tracking table, and assisting team members and stakeholders that depend on M&E data. The M & E Coordinator will work closely with Sundaland Ecoregion team and collect updated data as per M & E Guidelines.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator will be based in Medan – North Sumatra with frequent travel to Batang Toru Forest Ecosystem (BTFE) field offices.
The M&E Coordinator will report to Sundaland Program Director and technically report to Safeguards and Monev Manager in Jakarta. This position will work closely with the whole Sundaland Ecoregion team and M&E team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project output
· Updated project tracker on regular basis
· Undertake regular visit to the field to collect relevant data and implementation issues of the project.
· Ensure that data is collected, entered, and cleaned in databases, and reviewed in tracking sheets and dashboards on a regular basis, alongside routine Data Quality Audits (DQA).
· Collecting, compiling and analyzing data prepared by partners and prepare consolidated progress reports
· Analysing data to identify trends and draw conclusions about the effectiveness of programs
· Supporting ad hoc studies or surveys conducted by external consultants or M&E team.
QUALIFICATIONS
· A Degree in natural resource management-related science, forestry, sociology or social science, public administration with a minimum 4 years of experience.
· In-depth knowledge on Monitoring and evaluation particularly in environmental and conservation issues.
· Experience with qualitative and quantitative surveys and reporting.
· Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations with a wide range of people in both the public and private sectors, including business, government, non-governmental organizations, donor organizations, local communities, consultants, and volunteers.
· Knowledge and background in the customs and government organizations of Indonesia. Knowing about North Sumatra is an advantage.
· Proven record of success as part of interdisciplinary project teams.
· Good communication skills and develop network.
WORKING CONDITIONS
● This position requires frequent travel, to collect data from field, attend meetings, visit field projects and interact with local authorities and communities.
● Requires flexibility to travel and work long hours, including work in arduous field conditions, often to remote areas and work weekends and after hours as needed.
