USAID Indonesia Urban Resilient Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (USAID IUWASH Tangguh) is a five-year Activity to advance Indonesia's development goals in increasing access to safely managed drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in vulnerable urban areas and strengthening climate-resilient WASH services and water resources management. In close partnership with the Government of Indonesia (GOI), USAID IUWASH Tangguh supports Indonesia's work to achieve their Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets to ensure access to water and sanitation for all (SDG 6) and to make cities and settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable (SDG 11).

 

Using an Integrated Resilient IUWASH Systems (IRIS) approach—which aligns actions and incentives between upstream and downstream actors, while crowding in collaboration with key stakeholders through partnerships that accelerate the enabling environment and key enabling factors, such as finance and data—the USAID IUWASH Tangguh team will provide technical assistance to GOI, private sector and civil society stakeholders to achieve four objectives: 1) Strengthened WASH and WRM Sector Governance and Financing; 2) Increased Access to Poor-Inclusive, Climate-Resilient, Safely Managed Drinking Water and Sanitation Services; 3) Improved Water Resources Management to Support Resilient Drinking Water Services; and 4) Increased Adoption of Behaviors and Improved Women's Participation and Leadership Roles that Contribute to Improvements of WASH and WRM.

 

USAID IUWASH Tangguh is looking Individual Consultant for the writer/author of book "The Best Practices and Successful Experiences" on Watershed Conservation Activity by Watershed Forum (FORDAS)" National Office, Jakarta

 

The purpose of this activity are

·       Analyzed all documentation, writings and data information that had been created by 6 (six) watershed forums regarding best and successful experiences in managing their watersheds.

·       In accordance with the author's expertise and experience, it specifically provides direction, enrichment and perspective on the involvement and empowerment of local communities as well as improving the community's economy in watershed conservation implementation activities, and experts on QGIS/Arch GIS/Spatial Forest Modelling and Research Writer.

·       Coordinate with the P3DAS Team, KLHK and USAID IUWASH Tangguh (Objective 3) and other parties in compiling and analyzing data and information contained in the book/guideline various "best practices and successful experiences" on watershed conservation activity.

·       Developing the "Manual Book of The Best Practices and Successful Experiences" on Watershed Conservation Activity by Watershed Forum (FORDAS)

Minimum Qualifications:

The service provider for this activity shall have the following qualifications, the aim that the tasks and result of book "best practices and successful experiences", should have several qualifications as follows:

 

  1. The writer has an educational background in forestry conservation, bio-physical-zoology, socio-eco-cultural and watershed institutions, with a minimum master's level.
  2. Experienced in making papers (journals, scientific reports, research/study, research work, etc.) related with experiences on Watershed Management, Public participatory and Involvement, Landscape Management, Forest Socio-Economic Sustainability, experts on QGIS/Arch GIS/Spatial Forest Modelling and Research Writer.
  3. Understand and master the techniques and concepts of writing the review/study, to create a document or book or guideline concisely, effectively, and efficiently.
  4. Understand and experts on issues of watershed concepts management and protection and understand the challenges and obstacles (the vulnerability of watershed system), especially issues related the watershed degradation aspects.
  5. Understand the concept of the relationship between the various aspects or factor the watershed component of bio-zoology-socio-economic, forest conservation and protection, sustainability landscapes and development program, public participatory and involvement, especially in managing role the economic local people, etc.
  6. Understand and experience communication and coordination with local people, various government agencies (local and national) relating to the develop management plan, integrate the plan into the government program and budget allocation, implement and evaluate the management watershed.
