PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Tuberculosis Private Sector (TBPS) activity (2019-2025) supports the Government of Indonesia's (GOI's) goal of tuberculosis (TB) elimination by 2030. Led by FHI 360, TBPS supports private sector health providers to increase case detection, enhance access to state-of-the-art diagnostics and medicines, increase TB case notification from the private sector and promote public-sector stewardship for sustained response and commitments to achieve a TB-free Indonesia. The goal of TBPS is to increase the number of care-seeking clients in the private sector who are correctly diagnosed and notified and successfully complete TB treatment.
The project is seeking 4 positions of District Big Chain Hospital (BCH) Coordinator to work in close collaboration on this project with its leadership and technical team in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the district BCH coordinator will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating all of TBPS BCH activities in their respective hospitals/district. With technical guidance from Technical Officer for BCHE and other TBPS team member, the district BCH coordinator will implement TB systematic screening activities and support SIM-RS and SITB data integration with each of targeted chain hospitals to promote sustainability and institutionalization of interventions before the project ends.
S/he will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with the District and Provincial Health authorities (including the District Public-Private Mix (DPPM) team), as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with key private sector stakeholders, including KOPI-TB, health facilities association, private health providers in those respective districts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In coordination with the TBPS Field Operation Manager and Technical Officer for BCHE, the district BCH coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating of all BCH related activities in the hospital/district for which the s/he appointed
- Monitor the screening activity in BCHs based on the screening SOP
- Coordinate with DHO to develop SOP for patient referral from BCHs to other health facilities within and outside the districts, contact investigation, and treatment adherence monitoring
- Monitor the referral of TB patients from one facility to another
- Coordinate with Puskesmas and civil society organizations (CSOs) to ensure treatment enrollment and treatment adherence
- Conduct weekly supervision of the chain hospitals to monitor coordination, identify issues and barriers
- On regular basis, coordinate with DHO, Puskesmas, FE, and GF community SSRs to overcome implementation issues, barriers, or challenges
- Develops strategic relationships within the DPPM network, including with puskesmas and other primary level health facilities
- Coordinates with TBPS Technical team on establishing district level networks for diagnosis, treatment, and TB case notification specifically for the targeted chain hospitals
- Works with TBPS MERLC team to carry out implementation or operations research activities
- Contributes to quarterly and annual reports, including coordinating with the M&E teams to identify relevant data sources
- Adhere to financial, data and reporting compliance per USAID and Indonesian regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree (S1 degree or equivalent) in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Pharmacy, Laboratory/biological Sciences, or a similar field.
- Minimum two years experience in health program implementation or management, including working with health facility, government and/or private sector stakeholders
- Knowledge of TB program implementation and private sector engagement preferred
- Familiar with SITB will be an advantage
- Effective communications and diplomacy skills for implementing complex interventions with government and private sector audiences
- Strong organizational skills
- Native speaker of Bahasa Indonesia, proficiency in English
- Based in one of the coverage districts
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound knowledge of MS Office programs and possess the capacity to quickly learn and use related IT applications
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of multicultural team
- Must be a self-starter, with high degree of responsibility to project outcomes with minimal direct supervision

Travel Requirements:
- Locally within district >70%
- Occasional travel to Jakarta
