COMMUNITY MOBILIZER- CASUAL WORKER (2 PERSONS)

SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD RECOVERY THROUGH ISLAMIC SOCIAL ENTERPRISE (SULRISE – 2025)

Location: Central Sulawesi, Indonesia

Duration: 3 months (August–October 2025)

Fee: Rp 5,150,000 All in and Include Tax

 

A. About the Project

The Sustainable Livelihood Recovery through Islamic Social Enterprise (SULRISE) is a recovery initiative aimed at supporting disaster-affected communities in Central Sulawesi. The project focuses on enabling vulnerable households—especially women, boys, and girls—to sustainably increase their income through Islamic social enterprise approaches. The project has concluded its main phase in December 2024, yet 58 remaining Resilient Households (RHs) still have the potential to receive a second grant.

 

To ensure proper implementation—from assessment, business planning, fund disbursement to accountability reporting—Islamic Relief Indonesia (Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia/YRII) is seeking 2 qualified Community Mobilizers (Casual Workers) to support the final phase of the SULRISE project.

 

B. Objective of the Recruitment

To recruit two casual workers to support the implementation of project activities and assist the remaining 58 RHs.

 

Each mobilizer will be responsible for accompanying and mentoring beneficiaries throughout the grant process and business development support cycle.

 

C. Expected Outputs

1. Two Community Mobilizers recruited and mobilized.
2. 58 RHs accompanied in developing and implementing their business plans.
3. Each RH will receive a second grant of IDR 4,000,000 to support their livelihood activities.

 

D. Responsibilities of the Position

1. The selected Community Mobilizer will report directly to the Project Officer and coordinate with the Area Coordinator. Key duties include:
2. Conducting field assessments to identify RHs eligible for the second grant.
3. Assisting RHs in preparing business development plans.
4. Supporting RHs in completing all necessary documentation (LoA, business plan, bank passbook, etc.).
5. Overseeing the fund disbursement, expenditure, and accountability process to ensure proper use in line with the business plans.
6. Facilitating communication with community leaders, village officials, elders, and other stakeholders.
7. Conducting regular field visits and engaging RHs through informal and formal community dialogues.
8. Organizing and facilitating community meetings related to project implementation.
9. Supporting the formation or strengthening of community-based organizations such as groups and self-help groups.

 

E. Candidate Qualifications

1. Education & Experience:
2. University degree in relevant fields (social sciences, development, economics, etc.).
3. Minimum of 2 years' experience in community mobilization, livelihood programming, or similar roles.
4. Skills & Competencies:
5. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
6. High initiative and strong commitment to humanitarian principles and teamwork.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
9. Strong interest in community development and familiarity with gender equality and inclusive approaches.
