District Coordinator Large Scale Food Fortification, West Java
Nutrition International (NI) has been supporting the Government of Indonesia through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Health (MoH). NI assists in implementing and strengthening the Large-Scale Food Fortification (LSFF) portfolio at the national, provincial, and district levels. To support the implementation of LSFF portfolio in Indonesia, NI will recruit District Coordinator, Large Scale Food Fortification, located at Subang Regency, West Java Province.
The consultant will assist in implementing the draft Implementation model developed as part of the roadmap for the integration of fortified rice in Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG). This involves real-world validation of the model in 5 Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) or centralized kitchens located in West Java Province.
The consultant would be working under the overall supervision of the National Program Officer – Large Scale Food Fortification (NPO), with the focus to conduct an end-to-end mapping of the supply chain (FRK suppliers → fortified Rice → SPPG → delivery of hygienic meals through school and health facilities, developing the local supply chain for an uninterrupted supply of fortified rice, capacity building of the SPPG to use fortified rice for the preparation of nutritious and hygienic meals and ensure quality and timely distribution of meal school students and pregnant and lactating women through schools and health facilities, respectively.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support Pilot Planning and Government Coordination
- Support the usage of the Fortified Rice SPPG and its onward distribution
- Support in the procurement of Fortified Rice for use in SPPG
- Pilot Monitoring, Learning, and Reporting
- Other Tasks
Education/Professional Designations/Experience:
- Graduation with preference for a bachelor's degree in food technology or nutrition
- Prior experience in government programs/projects is highly desirable
