SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT

Prospera is Australia's flagship economic governance investment in Indonesia, supporting the Government of Indonesia (GoI) to advance inclusive, sustainable and climate-resilient economic reform. Implemented by Cowater International in partnership with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Government of Indonesia, the program runs from 2026 to 2035. Prospera is a dual modality program comprising partnerships between Australian and Indonesian government agencies along with distinct but interrelated Managing Contractor-led (Cowater) advisory and support services.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

The Junior ICT Officer is an early-career, hands-on role for a technically curious self-starter who wants to grow quickly while helping build and run Prospera’s digital workplace. Working at the centre of the program’s Microsoft 365 environment - Teams, channels, SharePoint and records. The role keeps the program’s collaboration and information systems running smoothly while contributing to the design and development of new digital tools, automations and AI-enabled solutions.

The role deliberately combines day-to-day ICT and Microsoft 365 support with genuine opportunities to design, build and code. Reporting to the ICT Manager and working with direct access to the program’s in-house ICT Senior Designer (STA), the Junior ICT Officer learns on the job, takes on increasing responsibility, and brings energy, creativity and fresh thinking to how Prospera uses technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Microsoft 365 & Teams Administration

  • Help administer and maintain the program’s Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, channels, SharePoint sites and user permissions.
  • Support the set-up, structure and upkeep of Teams and channels in line with the program’s agreed architecture.
  • Assist with user accounts, licenses, access and device provisioning.

ICT Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide responsive first-line ICT support to staff, resolving or escalating issues promptly.
  • Support hardware, software, connectivity and audio-visual needs for meetings and events.
  • Help maintain ICT documentation, guides and how-to resources for staff.

Training, Enablement & User Support

  • Teach and train technical officers and staff on how to set up, manage and get the best usability out of Microsoft Teams, channels, SharePoint and the Office 365 apps.
  • Plan and run engaging group information sessions, demonstrations and onboarding for new and existing staff.
  • Provide responsive one-on-one support and coaching, meeting staff at their level and building their confidence and independence.
  • Develop clear, user-friendly training materials, quick-reference guides and how-to resources.
  • Promote good digital habits and consistent ways of working across the program, lifting overall adoption and capability.
  • Gather user feedback to continuously improve tools, training and the digital workplace experience.

Information, Filing & Records

  • Support the program’s SharePoint filing taxonomy and records-management approach, keeping the digital workplace well-organised.
  • Assist staff to file, find and manage information correctly and securely.
  • Help maintain data integrity, naming conventions and version control across shared environments.

Digital Design, Automation & Development

  • Contribute to the design and build of digital tools, templates and workflows, including Power Automate flows and Power Apps.
  • Support coding and development tasks under the guidance of the ICT Manager and ICT Designer.
  • Help test, refine and document new tools and digital solutions.

AI & Innovation

  • Support the exploration, prototyping and rollout of AI-enabled tools that improve how the program works.
  • Bring fresh ideas and emerging-technology awareness to the team, with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
  • Help staff adopt new digital and AI tools through clear guidance and support.

Learning & Collaboration

  • Work closely with the ICT Manager and, with direct access, the in-house ICT Designer (STA) to build skills and take on increasing responsibility.
  • Collaborate across operations and technical teams to understand needs and deliver useful solutions.
  • Actively pursue learning and professional growth in design, coding and AI.

KEY RELATIONSHIP – Internal

Working at the heart of the program’s digital workplace, the role works closely with:

  • ICT Manager — as the reporting and supervision line, providing direction, support and professional development.
  • In-house ICT Designer (STA) — with direct access for technical mentoring and design and development collaboration.
  • Operations team — supporting Microsoft 365, filing, ICT and digital tools across functions.
  • All program staff — providing day-to-day ICT support and helping them get the most from the program’s digital environment.
  • Technical teams — supporting digital tools and solutions that meet program needs.

KEY RELATIONSHIP - Eksternal

Representing the program professionally in its technology engagements, the role engages with:

  • ICT vendors, suppliers and service providers — supporting hardware, software, licensing and support arrangements.
  • Microsoft 365 and cloud-service support channels — resolving technical issues and accessing platform support.
  • Connectivity and telecommunications providers — supporting reliable office systems.
  • Technology and AI tool providers — supporting the trial and adoption of new solutions.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree (D3 / S1) in information technology, computer science, digital systems or a related field — or equivalent practical experience and demonstrated ability.
  • Up to two (2) years’ experience, including internships, study or personal projects; this is an early-career role where aptitude and attitude matter more than years.
  • Strong, hands-on familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Teams, channels, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • A genuine interest and demonstrable aptitude in coding, digital design and AI tools.
  • A fast learner with a proactive, problem-solving, can-do mindset.

  • Experience building or experimenting with AI tools, automations, or no-code / low-code solutions.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint administration, records management or information taxonomies.
  • An interest in working on a development program or in a mission-driven environment.
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, and existing eligibility to live and work in Indonesia.
