[Research, Monitoring, & Evaluation Specialist]

About Position
As an RME Specialist, you will play a hands-on, critical role in driving YCAB Foundation's mission by turning program data into actionable social impact. You will design practical evaluation tools, manage routine monitoring and dashboards, and execute rigorous data quality assurance to ensure reliable, high-integrity insights. Through field research, surveys, and mixed-methods analysis, you will translate findings into compelling donor reports, case studies, and evidence-based program improvements. You will also empower program teams across the organization by providing technical training, capturing success stories, and facilitating reflective learning sessions. Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Develop and implement RME frameworks, indicators, tools, and plans for assigned programs.
- Coordinate routine monitoring, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Maintain data management systems and program dashboards.
- Conduct data cleaning, analysis, and Data Quality Assurance (DQA) to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare data-driven reports and visualizations for internal and donor reporting.
- Work with program teams to integrate RME into program design and implementation.
Research
- Design and implement research, assessments, and evaluations to inform program improvement and advocacy.
- Develop research tools, including surveys, interview guides, and focus group protocols.
- Lead data collection, verification, cleaning, and analysis using appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Translate research findings into actionable recommendations, reports, case studies, briefs, and presentations.
- Ensure ethical and gender-sensitive approaches are applied throughout research activities.
Learning & Capacity Building
- Facilitate reflection and learning sessions with program teams.
- Capture and communicate key lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on RME tools and methodologies.
- Contribute to the organization’s learning agenda and knowledge management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, economics, statistics, public policy, or other related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience managing and implementing M&E system, preferably within international development or non-profit organizations.
- Proficiency in statistical and data visualization software (e.g., Stata, SPSS, or equivalent) and digital data collection platform (e.g., questionpro, kobotoolbox, ODK)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools is an advantage.
- Experience designing and managing baseline/endline assessments and impact evaluations using quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, including experience preparing program and evaluation reports.
- Experience leading field data collection, managing enumerators and/or external consultants, and ensuring data quality and ethical research practices.
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
