WWF-Indonesia is currently holding a tender for Consumer Awareness & Perception Survey, where we need a professional organization who is an expert in market research, that can provide the mapping and identifying the awareness and perceptions of the public regarding sustainable commodities (palm oil, coffee, cocoa, rubber, and timber).

This survey aims to:

  1. Understand the dynamic of the channels and the awareness & perception of sustainable commodities as environmentally friendly products in public.
  2. Identifying the factors that influencing people to purchase sustainable commodities, and the change of behaviour caused by the awareness regarding sustainable palm oil, coffee, cocoa, rubber, and timber.
  3. Encourage and raise awareness of the public to implement sustainability practices in daily life by sourcing sustainable palm oil and other sustainable commodities.
  4. Assessing the price gap of from consumer's willingness to pay of sustainable palm oil, coffee, cocoa, rubber, and timber-based products.
  5. Measuring percentage of consumers who are willing to change purchasing habits to sustainable palm oil, coffee, cocoa, rubber, and timber.

A.  Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement technical and strategic advisory and capacity development activities tailored to the demand of the political partner(s) and with the aim to accelerate the Indonesian energy transition.
  • Advise and support the political partner on the development of integrated policies, financial mechanism and improving the strategic framework for the power sector decarbonization and sustainable energy finance integration.
  • Monitor and analyze current and new relevant legislation and regulations in Indonesia and globally as well as their impact as basis for the advisory work.
  • Conceptualization of Terms of Reference for the procurement of external consultants and subsequent steering of external international and local consultants, including designing preparation, organization, facilitation and documentation of related events, workshops and conferences.
  • Write, revise and review reports, brochures, reports and recommendations for in and external audiences, and other documents ensuring high quality outputs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the political partner and other relevant public and private sector stakeholders, including act as knowledge expert to high-level government representatives (Indonesian and German) and other relevant stakeholders in various formats.

  • Preparedness to participate in medical emergency responses to health crises, in coordination with the Health Crisis Center (PUSKRIS) of the Ministry of Health.

Main Goals of Program are:

  • Health care workers and emergency responders are better prepared to assist victims of health crisis as a result of the E-Hub program.
  • Victims of health crisis benefit from timely mobilization of MSF capacity, resources and expertise as part of the emergency responses to health crisis.

Specific Goals of Program are:

  • To develop further the E-Hub Project of capacity building in emergency preparedness and response in support of the MoH Health Crisis Centre for developing medical emergency response capacity.    
  • To create a standard comprehensive capacity building package that can be used in Indonesia and other parts of the Region.

Technical Skills

Position Summary

 

The Finance and Administration Officer for the USAID/Mars. Inc-funded Advancing Agroforestry Towards Income, Value, and Environmental Sustainability (ACTIVE) activity will support the Chief of Party (COP) and USAID to provide guidance, technical leadership and technical oversight for teams supporting finance, administration, human resources, and procurement assignments for the ACTIVE program. The Finance and Administration Officer will provide expert level support and advice on finance tracking and have a deep understanding of the USAID Program Cycle and the portfolio of investment in Indonesia

 

Responsibilities:

 

Finance and Administration Officer will be responsible for maintaining I4DI's financial integrity, preparing all financial reports efficiently and in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Indonesian government regulations, I4DI policies and procedures, and donor requirements throughout the life of the project. Additional tasks will include:

 

  • Manage the accounting, finance, and administration components of the program, including petty cash funds and field office finance, accounting, and administrative activities.
  • Establish program financial management systems, procedures, and controls to ensure consistency with I4DI standard operating procedures and US government policies.
  • Coordinate monthly requests for funds to ensure the project has all necessary funds for operations, and coordinate and oversee program tendering and procurement activities in the country.
  • Advise project staff on financial health through the provision of regular and timely financial expenditure reports.
  • Review and approve all vouchers prepared (disbursement, receipt, and general journal vouchers) for expenditures and ensure that expenses are reasonable, allowable, and allocable to the project.
  • Maintain financial controls and procedures for the management of funds and sub awards/contracts.
  • Prepare budget projections, analysis, and reports for review and action by the COP, I4DI and for submission to USAID.
  • Manage financial files and support annual audits.

Requirement :

  • Experience in a leadership position on a USAID-funded project in Indonesia is preferred.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations on behalf of the German Government. We work to shape a future worth living in over 120 countries around the world.

In Indonesia, GIZ's Energy Programme Indonesia acts as trusted partner and technical advisor to the Government of Indonesia for the transition towards a sustainable energy system.

Within the Energy Programme, the German-Indonesian Energy Cooperation Hub ("Energy Hub") aims to bundle all energy projects funded by Germany and implemented in Indonesia, with the objective to support portfolio development and strategy building, joint representation and communication. It shall further support the implementation of the Indonesian Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).

To provide energy policy expertise and to support implementation of the programme in Indonesia, we seek one (1) motivated and qualified Indonesian candidate for:

Policy Advisor

A.     Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Provide energy policy advisory activities tailored to the demand of the German partner(s) in writing (e.g., policy analysis, policy papers, concept notes etc.) as well as verbally (e.g., meetings, discussions, events) related to Indonesia's energy transition and within the context of the JETP.
  • Liaise with and support the German embassy and International Partners Group (IPG) within the context of the JETP and Germany's leadership role.
  • Monitor and analyse current and new relevant legislation and regulations in Indonesia and globally as well as their impact as basis for the advisory work.
  • Conceptualisation, design, preparation, organisation, facilitation and documentation of events, workshops and conferences.
  • Conceptualisation of Terms of Reference for the procurement of external consultants and subsequent steering of external international and local consultants.
  • Act as knowledge expert on selected policy topics, present results to the partners and other relevant stakeholders in various formats.
  • Contribute from your field of expertise to the GIZ portfolio development, including the participation in the preparation of new project concepts.

 The brief profile is not intended to provide a full and complete description of the tasks.

While the position is anchored to the project "Energy Hub", which runs until 31.10.2028, you support the Energy Transition Cluster and projects within the Energy Transition cluster, anchored under the Energy Hub.

 

  1. Qualifications
  • University degree in energy, climate, sustainable development, environment, or similar relevant field
  • At least 5 year working experience in renewable energy, development cooperation and/or energy policy making.
  • Deep understanding of sustainable energy including the global discourse about the energy transition as well as climate and energy policy making processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and ability to liaise and communicate effectively with the partners.
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (English and Bahasa Indonesia)
  • Outstanding conceptual and strategic thinking skills
  • Previous professional experience abroad, including Germany, US, Europe, USA, and/or UN Agency
  • Previous experience in procurement and steering of external international and consultants.
